Try It! Make a Mug
Saturday, February 14th from 1-3pm

Construct your own mug in this one day workshop! Students will learn how to build a 3D form, attach clay together, form a handle, and more! All mugs will be glazed with a food safe glaze after the workshop so that you can use it for anything you would like!
Born and raised in South Central York County in Pennsylvania, Nicole attended Penn State University and holds a Bachelors in Art Education, a minor in Special Education, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Clinical Psychology. Nicole teaches 8th grade Fine Art at Central York Middle School as well as art classes at Creatives on King, the York Art Association, Keystone Kidspace, and Creative York. While oil painting is her passion, she is well practiced in ceramics, watercolor, drawing, linoblock printing, solawood crafting, and sculpture. Nicole owns and operates Reptile Smiles, an educational animal outreach program that combines exotic animals with therapeutic arts and even STEAM programs. As curator at Creatives on King, Nicole works with over thirty local artists and participates in outreach efforts throughout PA to connect with artists in the region. Her work has been displayed in galleries throughout York City, including HIVE Artspace, Creatives on King, and Marketview Arts. Nicole is the Window Artist for Carroll County MD’s Pink Fling, and she creates flower décor for a variety of events.
